Hold On

“Hold onto him!” I’m screeching from the seat behind them on Space Mountain. “Hold him!” I don’t know why I’m bothering. The ride is so loud I can’t even hear myself, let alone believe that D can hear me. Furthermore, obviously he was holding onto him — arm around his shoulders, hand clutched to his chest. How they determined the 5-year-old was tall enough for the spacey roller coaster is beyond me!

The entire ride, all I could imagine what D-7’s scrawny little @$$ sliding out of the harness into the stars. But, of course, his @$$ stayed put perfectly and he enjoyed the heck out of the ride.

D-5 loved the Incredicoaster most of all; D-4 agreed that both were his favs. and my favorite was Guardians of the Galaxy. As the three oldest head back school, all agreed that Disney was the best part of the summer.

I’d say the five-day trip was approximately 70% fabulous and 30% hell. The rides were phenomenal, other than getting stuck for 45 minutes when the Pirates broke down. Oh, and not being able to take the shortcut to Rise of the Resistance even though they said we could to compensate for being stuck on Pirates for so long. “Dead men tell no tales,” still echoes through my brain!

But, Back to real life. We sure are grateful we get to make up for all the vacations with our children that we couldn’t afford as they were growing up.
