At Least They're Committed

My sons are ecstatic that the 2013 Oscars will be celebrating 50 years of James Bond and that all of the Bonds plan to attend. They noted that it’s remarkable that all the Bonds are still alive and I agreed, saying, “That’s an even better percentage than surviving presidents!” There was silence and then EBD said to me, “Well, mom, the presidents go back more than 200 years, so you could hardly expect many, let alone all, to be alive.” So, I tried to salvage it by explaining what I meant, but my attempts were futile and they all laughed at me.
