Care-less

The best Avenged Sevenfold concert yet. Who'd have thought it was possible? Red Rocks was a perfect venue for them. I'm still buzzing from the energy (no, not the secondhand smoke, that wore off by the time I got to the car.)

The best Avenged Sevenfold concert yet. Who’d have thought it was possible? Red Rocks was a perfect venue for them. I’m still buzzing from the energy (no, not the secondhand smoke, that wore off by the time I got to the car).

Who would have thought the Achilles’ injury is more debilitating than my hip surgery and my broken/sprained ankles? I’ll be driving D to and from work for six months . . . SIX MONTHS! This on top of the extra help for his basic needs. No, not his fault, of course. Can happen to anyone. However, ideally at this age ‘anyone’ has paid time off from work. *Sigh*

I have to leave early today because I’m getting new tires on Dexter. Then I’ll have to get his emissions checked and his annual registration. I’ll need to drive Dex to and from work for a while because, with all the extra action, the Sebring now needs brake work and it’s idling too fast. But no, no, don’t bother to ask how I’M doing.

The van is pretty much fixed, so that’s a plus. EBD’s car is close to running, too, I guess. At least they haven’t towed it from the Safeway parking lot in Castle Rock. ARE WE HAVING FUN YET?

The new roof is in place, I’ll get to replace the windows in September after Shadow moves out (he body slams the sliding glass door). The house is on track to go on the market in May 2015. Yay! But, OH HOLY CRAP all the work that still needs to be done. AAAAUUUGH!!! With D out of the picture, that leaves it to me. MEEEEE!

Ahem. So where was I? Oh, yeah, so, YOU, don’t get all stiff and butt-faced when I’m not all chipper and happiness and joy around you. I mean, yeah, I know you’ve got your aches and pains, don’t we all? And if you recall, I’ve been super supportive. But has it ever, EVER occurred to you to ask ME how I’m doing??? HAS IT??? CHRIIIIIIST!

On an up-note, Dez, thanks for the 3-hour nap on Saturday. Nothing like curling up with a 20-month-old for hours while the rain comes and goes, listening to and feeling the little guy breathe. Oh, and of course, EBD, Gabe and I will be Avenged tonight! Yes, yes, grasping at the happy little things.

“Hold on to faith as I dig another grave. Meanwhile the mice endure the wheeeeeeeel. Real as ever. And I’m chained like a slave, trapped in the dark, slammed all the locks, death calls my name and it seems I’VE BEEN BURIED ALIVE!” ~ Avenged Sevenfold
