At Least They're Committed

I occasionally look back at my posts and cringe at the typos. Yes, they’re rampant. Main instead of mane, isle instead of aisle. Whatever. I’m not writing to impress anyone and I typically toss the words out randomly and seldom look back.

Now, speaking of not needing to impress anyone, a curious thing happened yesterday. I was quite taken aback when someone I rather like said to me something like, “I’m glad you got the call when I wasn’t here because I know you want to ‘connect’” with a specific person.

What does that mean? I just kind of shook my head and passed it off, but what I wanted to scream was, “WHAT? I DON’T NEED TO CONNECT WITH ANYONE, DO YOU HEAR ME? I DON’T NEED ANYONE AND I DON’T WANT ANYONE, YOU GOT THAT?” But, that would be a tad melodramatic, don’t you think?
