Memorial

Look through my window, yeah, to the streets below. See the people hurrying by . . .

Sprung early after moving into my new, amazing office with a window, but planning to return to bring my plants and decide what art stays and what goes. Dear Grandchildren I Guess I Might Get to Know After All, just a quick positive update heading into a long Memorial Day weekend. Planning to get the spare room (well, my room) completed and maybe I’ll move in and start writing and maybe I’ll make enough money on my tawdry ghost/romance novels that I can retire early and spend more time with you. (You’ll be much older and I’ll be long gone before you’re privvy to what I was writing about and henceforth embarrassed.) Hope to get my truck, Dexter, running and to picnic with your folks and maybe your second cousins. Hoping to sit out on the porch and read and hoping the flowers and new grass I planted start to bud. Yes, I’m hoping . . . and maybe a little hopeful. It’s amazing what a window can do.
